This year’s ENFIA dues are to be paid in up to 11 installments, with the first installment due on April 30 and the final installment set to be paid by February 28, 2025.

Payment notices for the Unified Property Tax (ENFIA) for approximately 7.3 million property and business owners in Greece have been uploaded on the myAADE.gr digital portal for the financial year 2024, authorities announced late on Sunday.

This year’s ENFIA dues are to be paid in up to 11 installments, with the first installment due on April 30 and the final installment set to be paid by February 28, 2025.

Overall, the rates are expected to remain the same as last year’s. Property owners who had their properties insured for natural disasters (earthquakes, fires, and floods) last year will have a 10% reduction on the ENFIA tax.

Those who will pay the whole ENFIA amount at once and thus before April 30 (first installment) will enjoy a reduction of 3%, media reported, however, I don’t see any relevant notice on my ENFIA account..

Those who acquired properties in 2023 will pay more tax.

The property tax will be reduced by 50% or even 90% for families with more three children and owners with disabilities over 80% provided they had annual income of up to 12,000 euros and the property is no more than 150 square meters.

Owners of properties in areas hit by natural disasters will not have to pay any property tax.

Property owners who identify errors or omissions in their pay statements have the opportunity to correct them by submitting an amending E9 declaration. This platform is scheduled to open in the next few days and remain open until before the payment of 1st installment on April 30, 2024.

PS As usual mean Greeks recalled that the ENFIa was introduced in 2011 as an officially “temporary measure” due to first bailout obligations.
