Tax revenues in the first quarter of 2024 rose by 2.079 billion euros, compared to the target, the Ministry of Economy & Finance said on Monday.
Specifically, they amounted to 20.244 billion euros. At the same time, the primary surplus amounted to 3.282 billion euros, against a target for a primary surplus of 631 million euros.
In particular, according to the relevant statement on the state budget execution data on a modified cash basis, there is a deficit in the state budget balance of 250 million euros for the period January-April 2024, against a target deficit of 2,699 million euros (included for the corresponding period of 2024 in the 2024 budget report), and a deficit of 789 million euros in the corresponding period of 2023.
