Greece ranks among the lowest in the European Union for online civic engagement, according to a recent Eurostat report. In 2023, only 3.6% of Greek individuals aged 16 to 74 used the internet to participate in online consultations or voting on civic or political issues, such as urban planning or signing petitions.
This figure places Greece near the bottom of the EU rankings, with only Cyprus (2.2%) and Slovenia (3.5%) reporting lower participation rates.
