Mitsotakis referred to the 35% increase in the minimum wage, the reduction of unemployment to its lowest level in the past 17 years, the creation of 500,000 jobs, the reduction of unemployment among women by 10.8% and among young people by nearly 20%, and the digital labour card for 1.5 million employees.

“We established a framework for protecting workers from violence and harassment in the workplace. We established rules for remote work and the right to disconnect. We also reduced social security contributions by 5.4%,” Mitsotakis said, adding: “A 50% reduction in taxation for those who return or relocate to Greece for 7 years. And we continue with the goal of a 950 euro minimum wage and 1,500 euro average wage by 2027, new reductions in social security contributions, further strengthening of collective labour agreements, and the expansion of the digital labour card across the entire market by 2027.”

“Day by day we are strengthening workers and improving their daily lives,” the prime minister concluded, emphasizing that there is still more to be done, and that the government will implement it.
