With four Greek entries in finals and thrilling medal battles, the second day of the European Junior Diving Championships concluded at the indoor swimming pool of the Olympic Athletic Centre of Athens (OAKA).

Ioanna Styliani Karakosta and Myrto Kartsioti delivered a strong performance in the synchronized platform diving event, scoring 224.67 points across five attempts to secure fifth place. They finished behind the sport’s powerhouse nations but ahead of Poland (six countries competed in the event). The gold medal went to independent athletes Viktoriya Kazantseva and Aleksandra Kendrina with 296.40 points. German duo Jule Leonie Eisenberg and Charlotte Lederer took silver (256.68 points), while Ukraine’s Alisa Mieshkova and Sofia Vistavkina claimed bronze (252.18 points).

In the Boys’ 1m springboard (B category, ages 14-15), Spyros Kotzagiannis finished 10th with 331.80 points, improving from his 12th-place qualification spot. Independent athlete Egor Sobolev won gold (432.15 points), followed by Germany’s Louis Aaron Forster (383.00) and Britain’s Simion Greig (377.10) according to greek city times.

Myrto Kartsioti also competed in the Girls’ 3m springboard (B category) final, placing 11th with 286.90 points—matching her qualification rank. Germany’s Jella Kipkhut took gold (356.05 points), Ukraine’s Yelizaveta Diandiuk secured silver (328.15), and Britain’s Sienna Rae Mills earned bronze (314.20).

Finally, in the Boys’ synchronized platform diving, Spyros Kotzagiannis and Stavros Sifnaios were unable to complete the event after skipping their final dive. Ukraine’s Nazar Kononenko and Valeriy Malieiev won gold (298.80 points), while Britain’s Jordyn Fisher-Ims and Robbie Wood (296.40) and Germany’s Even Pendzina and Ole Johannes Roesler (289.56) rounded out the podium.
