The photovoltaic park programme of Olympia Odos, in Kiato, was inaugurated on Monday by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Dimas.
“We are inaugurating the largest photovoltaic park network programme ever installed on a Greek motorway. An investment of over 10 million euros, which in just two years has become a model of sustainable and energy-autonomous infrastructure,” the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport said.
Dimas noted that Olympia Odos covers all of its energy needs from Renewable Energy Sources, since as he said: “The photovoltaic programme consists of 19 photovoltaic parks with a total capacity of 10 MWp. These units have been installed in an intelligent and sustainable manner, utilising shelters, parking lots and unused sections along the motorway, in the regions of Corinth, Achaia and Western Attica.”
