Adonis Georgiadis tears down the hunger strike “fairy tale” – Pain exploited, justice hijacked, toxic politics unleashed

Once again, Adonis Georgiadis speaks plain truth — bluntly, publicly, and without fear of political cost. In the case of Panos Routsis, the grieving father who lost his son in the Tempi train disaster, Georgiadis claims we’re not witnessing a human rights struggle — but a coordinated effort to obstruct justice, orchestrated by none other than Zoe Konstantopoulou, lawyer and party leader of “Plefsi Eleftherias.”

In a fiery thread on X (formerly Twitter), Adonis unleashed a political and legal bombshell:“I wonder when we’ll finally wake up…”, he wrote. “What we’re seeing isn’t a sincere request from a mourning father — it’s a manipulative campaign designed to block the trial and weaponize grief for political gain.”

According to Georgiadis, Routsis launched a hunger strike demanding the exhumation of his son’s body for a DNA test and toxicology screening. However, the initial request wasn’t even filed legally by his lawyer — Zoe Konstantopoulou.”Only after public outcry was the request formally submitted, and even then, the court partially accepted it — for DNA testing only,” Adonis revealed. “The justice system flagged concerns that a full acceptance, especially for toxicology, could lead to endless procedural delays.”

The court clearly saw a deliberate strategy forming: delay the trial long enough to risk statute of limitations on misdemeanor charges — a tactic designed to obstruct and outlast justice.

A Manipulative Game with Grief as a Shield

But here’s the most blatant contradiction:The same legal team that requested the exhumation turned around and refused it, citing mistrust in the state’s procedures and requesting time to appoint an independent expert.

Even after the court granted a postponement to accommodate this, when the new exhumation date was set, Konstantopoulou didn’t even answer the door at her office to receive the official notice.

A court bailiff was forced to nail the summons to her door. A legal, but highly symbolic move. The justice system has had enough.“She locked her office door to claim ignorance of the date,” said Georgiadis. “This is a shameless, calculated attempt to stall again.”

Toxicity, Hate and Political Theatre

Georgiadis goes further: he accuses Konstantopoulou of politically exploiting a devastated father to serve her own toxic political narrative. What may look like a fight for justice, he warns, is actually a smokescreen for delaying the legal process and boosting her political brand.

“She is using a broken father’s pain — the same way anyone would feel — to advance her own malicious goals,” he wrote.

And she’s not alone.

Adonis denounced the “far-left activist doctors” surrounding hunger strikers, accusing them of monopolizing care, isolating the man from other doctors, and possibly endangering his health after 20+ days of fasting.

Justice Must Not Be Blackmailed

The core of Georgiadis’ argument is that justice must not bend to media manipulation or emotional blackmail. No one is more or less sensitive when it comes to a parent’s grief — but law must stand firm, especially when targeted by political agendas.

“If they’re pulling these stunts for a basic DNA test, imagine what they’d do for toxicology,” he warned. “This trial would never begin — not for two years, maybe not until the 2027 elections.”

The goal? Delay, obscure, confuse, politicize — and keep playing the role of persecuted heroes.

Who Benefits From Delaying the Tempi Trial?

  • Who gains if this case never reaches a courtroom?
  • Who profits from dragging a grieving parent into a circus of delays?
  • Who weaponizes sorrow for political clout?

Adonis Georgiadis calls it what it is: a cynical exploitation of human pain. Not for justice. Not for truth. But for votes and visibility.

“Justice doesn’t operate under TV pressure or hashtag trials.”

“And a parent’s pain should never be a campaign strategy or a revolutionary prop.”

In a time where emotional narratives often overpower legal integrity, Adonis Georgiadis draws a line — and demands the rest of us do the same.
