Adonis Georgiadis: 7 Years of Stability, 30 % and We Need Patriots in Politics

In a recent radio interview, Adonis Georgiadis emphasized that New Democracy has consistently maintained around 30 % in voter estimation for the past seven years, despite social and economic challenges. As the Minister noted, “This stability demonstrates the credibility and trust of citizens in a government that operates responsibly.”

According to the MRB poll, New Democracy records 29.1 % in voter estimation, with a 15.6-point lead over PASOK at 13.5 %. Georgiadis highlighted that “This clear difference proves the sustained dominance of New Democracy and the clear choice of citizens for responsible governance.” In voting intention, New Democracy reaches 22 %, PASOK 10.2 %, Greek Solution 9 %, Plevsi 7 %, KKE 6.6 %, Voice of Reason 4.5 %, and SYRIZA 3.6 %.

He made special reference to energy agreements, stating, “Citizens view positively the agreements with Ukraine and the USA – nearly 49.3 % evaluate our decisions positively, which strengthens the government’s popularity.”

At the same time, Georgiadis emphasized the need for patriots in politics, highlighting that responsible governance and proper management of public resources are the primary responsibilities of any politician. He referred to the OPEKEPE case, noting that delays were due to a lack of coordination, not a systemic failure, and stressed that transparency and accountability are essential.

His criticism also targeted Androulakis, whom he described as a political figure who has caused damage. As he said, “Androulakis’s politics, particularly in Crete, have created confusion and political harm – undermining the region’s memory and citizens’ trust.” He stressed that Greece needs politicians who prioritize national interest over petty political games and that patriotic political conduct is crucial for development and social cohesion.

The polling data reinforces Georgiadis’s view that New Democracy remains a stable center of political strength, with a clear lead and high public approval. “Citizens’ trust is not built in a day – it is the result of consistency, responsibility, and effective action,” he noted.

Adonis concluded that the country needs responsible, patriotic politicians who can manage critical situations and keep Greece on a path of stability and development. The combined view from MRB polls and political commentary demonstrates that New Democracy, under the leadership of Kyriakos Mitsotakis and with Georgiadis’s strategic role, remains the dominant force in the political landscape.
