Farmers and livestock breeders are protesting delays in OPEKEPE subsidy payments, high production costs, and low product prices.
Two Major Blockades in Thessaly
1. Nikaia, Larissa – 1 p.m.
Tractors from Larissa, Elassona, Tyrnavos, Agia, and Farsala will gather at the Nikaia junction at 1 p.m., with the intention —according to information— of moving onto the National Highway.
2. Karditsa – E65 Motorway – 1 p.m.
At the same time, farmers from the Karditsa area will line up their tractors on the E65 motorway. Mobilisations are expected to expand to many regions across Greece in the days ahead.
Participation is reported to be exceptionally large, marking a coordinated escalation from the heart of the Thessalian plain.
Where Else Tractors Are Gathering
First tractors appeared on Friday morning at the Orchomenos ring road, with farmers symbolically blocking the road toward Livadia and declaring readiness for escalation.
Phthiotis
Preparations continue for a major tractor gathering on 5 December at the Lamia Exhibition Center, after which farmers will decide on entering the National Highway.
Municipality of Mantoudi–Limni–Agia Anna (Evia)
A blockade is planned for 5 December on the Chalkida–Aidipsos road, at the Kirinthos junction.
Western Macedonia
After a meeting in Amyntaio involving farmers, livestock breeders, and beekeepers, a blockade was scheduled for Tuesday, 2 December at 1 p.m. at the Filotas junction.
“We decided that the justice of our struggle will be won through nationwide coordination with our tractors on the road. Our common demand is survival,” the local association said.
Grevena
The Agricultural Association of Grevena held a large assembly and decided to join the mobilisations on Wednesday, 3 December, gathering tractors opposite the Grevena Regional Authority.
Pella
Following a general assembly, farmers will assemble their machinery on Tuesday, 2 December at 12 noon.
Zitsa (Epirus)
The Viticulture Association and the Livestock Association of Zitsa call for a blockade at Kalpaki today, Sunday, 30 November at 18:00, under the slogan: “We take to the streets to fight for our survival.”
