In the first three months of 2025, food exports soared by 13.8%, contributing an additional €273.2 million to Greece’s export revenue. The total value reached €2.252 billion, up from €1.979 billion in the same period last year. This growth outpaced all other sectors, with only the smaller “beverages and tobacco” category slightly ahead at 14.2%.

The strategy’s motto is “Alongside children, against violence”, with the head of the expert committee that drafted it, Vasso Artinopoulou, emphasizing that “our vision is for children to grow up in a society free of violence.”
The locally produced blend combines conventional marine fuel with a second-generation biofuel derived from recycled used cooking oils. The innovation, created by Motor Oil’s subsidiary Verd, is fully compliant with the new ISO 8217:2024 standards and is credited with reducing CO₂ emissions by approximately 21%.
