Greece’s economy shows resilience despite challenges, with 2.1%-2.2% growth forecast for 2025-26, falling slightly in 2027, while unemployment declines and debt decreases.
The European Commission "sees" Greece's economic growth at 2.4% in 2023 and 2.2% until 2025, above the eurozone and EU average, in its autumn economic forecasts released on Wednesday
"The EU remains at the disposal of the Greek authorities if there is need for more assistance," underlined the EU Commission spokesperson.
The scheme was approved under the State aid Temporary Crisis Framework, adopted by the Commission on March 23 and amended on July 20, based on Article 107(3)(b) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (‘TFEU’), recognizing that the EU economy is experiencing a serious disturbance.
