Greece is expecting a new record high in tourism revenues this year, with the country’s tourism minister predicting a total of 22 billion euros ($24.48 billion). This would surpass the record set in 2023, when revenues reached 20.6 billion euros.
The report, presented by Yannis Stournaras, the central banker, also said that under the adverse scenario Greek economic growth will slow to 2.8% and the inflation rate will rise to 7% this year.
Addressing an event organized by the European Investment Bank in Athens, the Greek central banker analyzed the reasons.
