In January-August, the Greek government budget showed a primary surplus of 5.596 billion euros, above the target surplus of 2.314 billion euros and below the primary surplus of 19 million euros for the same period in 2022, the Ministry of Finance said in a statement published in Monday.
The positive performance can be attributed to robust net revenue, which reached €30.875 billion, surpassing the target by 4.1%. Regular budget revenue also displayed impressive growth, amounting to €34.263 billion, exceeding the target by 5.5%.
