Greek Unemployment Drops to 8% in April 2025
The number of unemployed individuals stood at 391,263, reflecting a significant decrease of 128,525 people (24.7%) compared to April 2024 and a reduction of 26,943 people (6.4%) from March 2025.

More specifically, the statistics service said that the number of unemployed totaled 467,804, down 18.2% from September 2022 and down 5% from August 2023. The unemployment rate among women fell to 12.4% from 15.5% last year, while among men it fell to 8% from 9.4%.
More specifically, of the 905,444 unemployed, the number of registered unemployed seeking jobs was 914,706 in June, of whom 503,272 (55.6%) were long-term unemployed.
