"The strong financial performance in the first half of 2024 confirms the consolidation of METLEN in the historically high levels it has achieved since the corporate transformation of 2022," the company said in a statement.
Part of the difference in the primary surplus compared to the target in cash terms is not included in the primary result for 2024 in fiscal terms. For instance, an amount of 159 million euros related to receipts from the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) does not affect the fiscal result, while a significant part of the difference in tax revenue receipts, amounting to 647 million euros, is counted in the fiscal result for 2023. Therefore, the primary result in fiscal terms differs from the result in cash terms.
Three-star hotels showed the highest average occupancy for the six-month period at 83%, followed by four-star hotels at 75.2% and five-star hotels at 69.6%.
"On the 50th anniversary since the restoration of Democracy to the country that gave birth to it, I wanted to be in the Parliament, in the place that the dictatorship desecrated for 7 years," Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Wednesday speaking at the special meeting of the parliament plenary.
