Strong Message to Parliament: 9 Out of 10 Judges Call for the Abolition of Article 86
With a record participation of 1,253 judges and prosecutors, the Association of Judges and Prosecutors has delivered a powerful message to Greece’s political establishment ahead of the upcoming Constitutional Revision. Overwhelming support was expressed for abolishing Article 86 on ministerial criminal liability, alongside strong calls for changes in the selection of judicial leadership and greater institutional independence for the judiciary.
