Mitsotakis in New York: “Greece Will Protect 30% of Its Territorial Waters Well Before 2030”
Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced three concrete Greek commitments at the launch of the OceanEye Global Alliance: Greek computing power and AI for the “Digital Twin of the Ocean,” stronger marine observation capabilities in the Eastern Mediterranean, and comprehensive mapping of marine habitats in the Aegean and Ionian marine parks. On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, the Greek prime minister also met Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, with AI, space, energy and Greece’s 2027 EU Council Presidency high on the agenda.
