Marking the 52nd anniversary of the restoration of democracy in Greece, President of the Hellenic Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas delivered a message of unity, institutional responsibility and national resolve, linking the achievements of the post-1974 democratic era with the continuing struggle for a just and viable solution to the Cyprus issue.
New Democracy is polling around 33 percent, a figure that echoes its 2019 European election results. Syriza, according to the polls, trails behind at 16.2 percent, followed by the socialist PASOK party at 13.2 percent.
However, added the main opposition party, official data proves the government is wrong.
It is noted that New Democracy gathered more than 50% in 8 countries: USA, Canada, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Lithuania.
Voter turnout was 60.73%, parties that did not make it into Parliament account for 15.96% of votes, and invalid or blank votes totaled 2.61%.
