The strategy’s motto is “Alongside children, against violence”, with the head of the expert committee that drafted it, Vasso Artinopoulou, emphasizing that “our vision is for children to grow up in a society free of violence.”

Mitsotakis emphasised that "affordable housing is a right for everyone and an obligation of the State," and noted that Tuesday's announcements were the result of a prudent and successful fiscal policy: "This is what allowed us to surpass our fiscal targets and return the surplus to citizens through targeted policies."

The announcement came after data from Eurostat showed that Greece recorded a fiscal surplus of 1.3% of GDP in 2024 for Greece, compared to a fiscal deficit of 1.4% the previous year.
