The European Trade Union Confederation, whose head Esther Lynch is currently in Greece, also expressed its support for the GSEE strike. Lynch conveyed the support of millions of workers from all over Europe, spoke to Greek workers, and handed out informational pamphlets, together with other trade union officials in Syntagma Square.
The metro, ISAP train and tram workers will participate on Wednesday in the 24-hour strike announced by ADEDY but will operate from 11:00 to 17:00 to transport the protesters who want to participate in the strike rallies.
At the same time today, the Athens Urban Rail Transport (STASY) and the Road Transports Company (OSY) appealed to the Court of Justice, requesting that the strike announced by the STASY Employees' Union be declared illegal.
