In the first three months of 2025, food exports soared by 13.8%, contributing an additional €273.2 million to Greece’s export revenue. The total value reached €2.252 billion, up from €1.979 billion in the same period last year. This growth outpaced all other sectors, with only the smaller “beverages and tobacco” category slightly ahead at 14.2%.
The majority of travellers still favour intra-European destinations, particularly neighbouring or non-neighbouring countries. Southern and Mediterranean Europe continues to top the regional travel charts, attracting 41% of prospective visitors. Notably though, this figure reflects an 8% year-on-year decline—potentially linked to rising summer temperatures and climate concerns.

A five-year program, the initiative seeks to expand the educational curriculum of the Antetokounbros Academy, a pro bono program by the CAFF that serves more than 100 low-income youth each year. In addition to the program curriculum, the partnership will provide 24 college scholarships for under-resourced young people and refugees so they can gain life skills and pathways to higher education.
A key component of this strategy includes the introduction of voluntary conscription for women, a long-overdue measure rooted in Law 705/1977 that had previously gone unimplemented.
