Education Minister Sofia Zacharaki forecasts a surge in foreign university bids to establish campuses in Greece, opening doors for students, academics and stirring political debate on internationalisation vs. tradition.
The funding, approved by Education Minister Sofia Zacharaki, is part of the Sectoral Development Program for Higher Education (2021-2025). It aims to strengthen university operations in “critical areas, covering both student needs and academic and administrative functions.”
Greece currently spends around 1 billion euros a year on pro-child measures but, like other European countries, to little effect.
Property owners can submit applications until January 31, 2025, to participate in the home renovation program for houses that will be rented to households facing severe housing issues.
Minister of National Economy and Finance Kostis Hatzidakis and Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Sofia Zacharaki announced on Monday during a press conference the increase in the birth allowance from 400 to 1,500 euros.
