A Canadair firefighting aircraft that was operating at the fire front in Platanisto on Evia island was reported a few while ago .
The pilot and the co-pilot of the aircraft are missing. A search and rescue operation by the Hellenic Air Force’s helicopters is underway in the area of the accident.
