30th Kalamata Dance Festival to Open July 12 with International Lineup

This year’s festival will feature 19 productions, including performances from 10 Greek troupes and 9 international groups. The festival’s educational segment will run from July 5 to 21. Performances will be staged at various locations, including the Dance Hall of Kalamata, public spaces, and venues in Tripolis, Pylos, and Nafplion, in partnership with local agencies. International performers will hail from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Serbia, Spain, Italy, Slovakia, and Mozambique.

A press conference was held at the Museum of Cycladic Art, attended by Culture Minister Lina Mendoni, Deputy Culture Minister for Modern Cultural Issues Christos Dimas, Kalamata Mayor Thanassis Vassilopoulos, and Peloponnese Region Governor Dimitris Ptochos. Former directors of the festival were among the speakers at the event.
