TUI: Mallorca, Turkey, and Greek Islands Lead as Top Destinations for Summer 2025

Benjamin Jacobi, Chairman of the Board of TUI Germany, shared these insights today at the International Tourism Exchange during the ITB exhibition in Berlin.

TUI’s summer bookings for 2025 are seeing a significant rise, with Mediterranean hotspots like Mallorca, Turkey, and the Greek islands dominating the German market.

Benjamin Jacobi, Chairman of the Board of TUI Germany, shared these insights today at the International Tourism Exchange during the ITB exhibition in Berlin.

“Vacations and unique experiences are more important than ever to people,” Jacobi noted, pointing to a growing interest in sunny European destinations. A recent survey by Appino, conducted on behalf of TUI, revealed that 43% of respondents preferred European destinations, with 18% opting for a holiday within Germany and 25% choosing international travel. Among exotic destinations, Asia ranked as the top choice.

TUI has significantly expanded its offerings for the summer of 2025, including more private-brand hotels, affordable three-star options, and an expanded flight network. In Turkey, over 1,600 weekly flights are available to destinations like Antalya, Dalaman, Bodrum, and Izmir. Mallorca is the leader in TUI Fly, offering more than 470,000 seats with 92 weekly flights, while Greece sees an increased selection, particularly on Rhodes, Corfu, and Zakynthos. Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast is emerging as a rising star, especially for families seeking modern, budget-friendly hotels. TUI’s direct flights from Hanover to Burgas and Varna, launched last summer, have boosted demand for the destination. Egypt is also on the rise, with increased interest in Hurghada and Marsa Alam.

For long-haul travel, TUI’s top three destinations are the USA, Thailand, and the UAE, with exciting new flight packages expected soon. In Germany, TUI is offering unique accommodations like sunbed tents, houseboats, and glamping options, with the newly renovated TUI Kids Club Wangerland on the North Sea being a highlight.

As for Easter 2025, demand is already high, with TUI hotel brands like TUI Blue, Robinson, Riu, Grupotel, and Atlantica being particularly popular.
