A new digital application designed to better serve individuals with communication challenges has been launched by Greece’s Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).
This groundbreaking initiative aims to ensure inclusive, autonomous access to tax services and is now available through the Taxpayers’ Service Centre and the myAADElive platform.
The new service is currently in a pilot phase and offers assistance via video call for a range of tax-related issues. These include matters concerning income declarations, taxpayer registration, and the issuance of a Tax Identification Number (TIN) and Key Number.
Key features of the application include:
- For people with hearing impairments: Real-time Greek-language subtitles generated by artificial intelligence, as well as live interpretation in Greek Sign Language by a certified interpreter.
- For foreign language speakers: AI-powered real-time translation is available in English, French, Urdu, Russian, Arabic, Turkish, and Filipino.
Appointments can be scheduled through the official AADE website at www.aade.gr. Services are offered Monday through Friday, from 08:00 to 14:30. The pilot program will remain in operation until 15 July 2025.
For further information, international users can contact the Taxpayer Service Centre (KEF) at +30 213 162 1000 during working hours (07:30–17:00 GMT+3), or submit inquiries via email through the AADE website.
This initiative reflects Greece’s ongoing commitment to digital accessibility and equal service for all citizens and residents, regardless of their communication needs.
