Greece faces severe economic consequences from climate change, including the potential loss of 327,000 full-time jobs and a €16 billion annual GDP decline if no mitigation measures are taken, according to a new study by the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE).
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides today in Nicosia, marking a significant step in bolstering bilateral relations. The meeting was prompted by the joint postgraduate course that will be offered by the two universities on "Global Environmental Sciences and Public Health", with financing from the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
The Conference is held under the auspices of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece and aims to develop a multi-level discussion with residents, local authorities, representatives of the government, the academic community and the diaspora on the important problems of the Greek islands, such as energy, water, education, medical care, etc.
From May 12 to October 31, the museum will host “Allspice – Michael Rakowitz and Ancient Cultures,” a collaborative show with the cultural organization NEON, featuring works by acclaimed Iraqi-American artist Michael Rakowitz.
“Admitting 10,000-20,000 Chinese students every year to Greek universities, under all programs, would be a realistic goal,” according to the SiG President.
