Support for unemployed female victims of violence
Ms. Syregela also referred to the collaboration with the Public Employment Service to support unemployed female victims of violence, with a 40% increase in scoring in the improved second business opportunity program and the inclusion of unemployed female victims in the Vulnerable Social Groups employment program. “We stand by all women. We fully understand their needs and we constantly prove it by creating new and innovative actions to support them”, underlined the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs and added that “we do not stick to words, but we practice social policy in practice, we integrate the perspective of gender in sectoral policies and we create the foundations for equal access for men and women to the labor market.”
The Public Employment Service closer to the business world
For his part, the head of the the Public Employment Service, Mr. Protopsaltis, noted the significance of the Employment Promotion Center (EPC2) of Agioi Anargyroi – Ilion, one of the largest bureaus that serves tens of thousands of citizens from different social groups and a large number of businesses, supporting the social cohesion and economy of the region.
