According to AirDNA, if a market is highly seasonal, travellers can save considerably by opting for the low season.
Throughout Europe, the average ADRs for short-term rental stays tend to peak around mid-August, while they hit their lowest point at the beginning of February.
For instance, in 2022, European travellers shelled out an average of 162 euros per night during the second week of August, making it the most expensive week for short-term rental stays that year. In contrast, those who chose to explore Europe in the first week of February, the cheapest week for such stays, paid 36 per cent less at 119 euros per night.
This seasonality trend is also evident in Greece, a country marked by significant seasonality. According to AirDNA’s data, the most economical time to visit Greece is in February, while the peak season in terms of prices falls in July.
