The centre of celebrations was Athens, with fans flooding Omonia and Alexandras Avenue and the Athens City Hall being coloured green.

The game marked the first time that the top two teams in the regular season standings faced off in the final under the new EuroLeague format. Panathinaikos, known for their impeccable record in previous finals, emerged victorious again.

This victory marked Panathinaikos’ seventh EuroLeague championship in the club’s storied history.
