Blinken, Mitsotakis speak by phone ahead of NATO Summit in Vilnius

The close cooperation between the United States and Greece and the upcoming NATO Summit in Vilnius was the focus of a call between US State Secretary Antony Blinken and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the State Department said in a statement late on Friday.

Blinken underscored that the United States views Greece as “an indispensable partner and a key NATO ally with whom (the US) is advancing shared goals for peace and prosperity.” He also thanked Mitsotakis for Greece’s continued support to Ukraine, the statement said. The NATO Summit is taking place on July 11-12 in Lithuania.
