Stefanos Tsitsipas Fights Back to Claim Victory in Los Cabos Open Quarterfinals

Before the ATP 250 tournament in Mexico, Tsitsipas, the top seed, felt confident and had no pressure to prove himself to anyone. As the highest-ranked player, he received a bye in the first round and started his campaign in the second round.

In the second round, Tsitsipas went up against John Isner, a formidable opponent known for his powerful serve. However, Isner had not been performing at his best this season, allowing Tsitsipas to comfortably secure the victory and advance to the quarterfinals where he would face Nicolas Jarry.

In the third and deciding set, Tsitsipas showed his dominance. Inspired by his earlier tiebreak win, he raised his level of play and broke Jarry’s serve early in the set. Maintaining his lead, Tsitsipas closed out the set with a convincing 6-2 victory.

Completing a remarkable comeback, Tsitsipas secured a hard-fought win with a final scoreline of 6-7(6), 7-6(4), 6-2. He now awaits the outcome of the match between the fourth-seeded Borna Coric and the eighth-seeded Ilya Ivashka for his next opponent.
