The five candidacies for SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance’s president were unanimously approved by the Central Committee at the opening of the works of SYRIZA. The candidates are: Effie Achtsioglou, Nikos Pappas, Stefanos Tzoumakas, Euclid Tsakalotos and Stefanos Kasselakis.
Main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance’s Standing Congress convenes on Saturday with only issue the approval of the candidacies for the party’s leadership.
The candidates will present their agendas and their priorities.
It is noted that the election of the next president will take place on Sunday 10 September and in case of a second round, it will be held on Sunday 16 September.
