Kasselakis: When gov’t cannot resolve an issue, it uses horizontal measures

The government ‘adopted’ the measures he had proposed on Monday morning on social media about sports violence, SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance leader Stefanos Kasselakis said in an interview on Tuesday.
A segment of the interview to ERTNews ‘Sto Kentro’ in which he made the statement was broadcast in the 18:00 news, while the entire interview will be broadcast tonight (Dec. 12) at 22:00.
Kasselakis had termed as ‘horizontal measure’ the decision to ban all sports fans from football games for two months, and said the government’s “classic response when it cannot resolve an issue is a horizontal measure everywhere.”
Owners of football games “work within a legal framework” that is set by the government, he said when asked whether they are responsible for sports violence.
Referring to the economy, he said that one of the economic measures he would introduce would be abolishing the prepayment of income tax in businesses because “it will create a huge liquidity input to the economy and could also resolve a large part of tax evasion.”
Kasselakis also called on the prime minister again to lift immunity of National Intelligence Service (EYP) officers and on PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis to ‘sue him’.
