A joint letter of support for the re-nomination of incumbent Ursula von der Leyen for the position of President of the European Commission

A joint letter of support for the re-nomination of incumbent Ursula von der Leyen for the position of President of the European Commission was signed on behalf of the European People’s Party (EPP) by Prime Minister of Greece and leader of New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Prime Minister of Poland and leader of Platforma Obywatelska Donald Tusk.

In a social media post on X, Mitsotakis said: “My friend  donald Tusk and I have the honor to nominate Ursula von der Leyen as the EPP’s lead candidate for the Presidency of the European Commission. She is staunchly devoted to the promotion of our common values and the protection of Europe’s unity and solidarity. She has our trust.”
