With great honor and pride, Greek Minister of Health Adonis Georgiadis represented Greece in Serbia, signing a strategic Memorandum of Cooperation between the two countries in the crucial field of healthcare.
The agreement focuses on three main pillars:
- Transplants: Exchange of expertise and best practices to improve medical services.
- Digitalization of healthcare facilities: Serbia will leverage Greece’s experience to upgrade hospital technology and health services.
- Exchange of medical services: Closer collaboration between the medical communities of both countries to provide high-quality care.
During his speech, Adonis highlighted: “Our goal is to strengthen our ties with Serbia, a country that supports its European path, which Greece fully supports as well.”
During the visit, the Minister toured one of Serbia’s top hospitals, assessing facilities and operations. He also participated in celebrations for Saints Cosmas and Damian and visited the grand Cathedral of Saint Sava, the largest Orthodox church in Serbia.
This initiative enhances Greece’s international image in healthcare, demonstrating that the country can lead in innovation, collaboration, and medical expertise. Adonis positions Greece as a model for digital healthcare modernization and cross-border cooperation.
