US Secretary of State Blinken arrives in Athens

Blinken, who arrived from Ankara, is scheduled to meet with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at 19:30. They are expected to focus on cooperation in the field of defense and energy security, as well as the mutual commitment of the US and Greece to the defense of democracy.
On Tuesday, the US secretary of state will have a bilateral meeting with his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias. The two ministers will launch the Fourth US-Greece Strategic Dialogue, a meeting to be followed by joint statements. Antony Blinken will also meet on Tuesday with main opposition SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras.
