SYRIZA-PA leader Kasselakis asks Famellos to remain as parliamentary group president

The newly-elected leader of main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, Stefanos Kasselakis, on Tuesday asked SYRIZA-PA Parliamentary Group President Sokratis Famellos to continue his work in the same post, in an exchange before TV cameras. “We have a lot of work to do and a huge responsibility, with collectiveness,” replied Famellos. “We have a responsibility to all the people and the thousands of voters,” responded Kasselakis.
SYRIZA will generate political proposals and reforms, both as a party and as a parliamentary group, Kasselakis said after his meeting with Famellos. The one-on-one meeting between Kasselakis and Famellos lasted an hour and a half and focused on the work of the parliamentary group.
Following the decision made by SYRIZA and the party’s members, Famellos said afterward, Stefanos Kasselakis was briefed on the functioning of the parliamentary group and the work that lies ahead.
