The new rankings were announced after the end of the Australian Open

Stefanos Tsitsipas dropped to No. 10 in the world ranking in tennis after Taylor Fritz eliminated him at the Australian Open. It was an expected drop of three places from when he had to defend 1,200 points, but the positive is that he stayed in the top ten thanks to Alex De Minaur being eliminated by Andrey Rublev.

The top six remained unchanged (Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner, Andrey Rublev, Alexander Zverev in order) despite Sinner’s title, with Holger Rune moving up to No7, Hubert Hurkacz to No8 and Fritz to No9.

In doubles, Petros Tsitsipas fell 12 places and is now at No. 107 and Stefanos at No. 125.

Sakkari at No. 9

Maria Sakkari also remained in the Top 10. Despite an early elimination in Melbourne, the Greek tennis player is at No9 this week, with the Top10 seeing several reshuffles.

Paula Badosa returns to the Top 100 as she is at No. 83.

As for the rest of the Greek women, Grammatikopoulou rose 13 places and is at No. 206, Papamichail fell to No. 229, followed by Sakellaridis (No. 279), Matoula (No. 318), Pavlou (No. 417) and Laki (No. 506).

In doubles, Papamichail is at No. 97, Grammatikopoulou is at No. 117, and Sakellaridis is at No. 159.
