- The following subcategories were the main drivers for the CPI rise:
- Food and Non-Alcoholic Beverages were up by 2.6%, mainly due to higher costs for items such as bread and cereals, meats, fresh fish, full-fat fresh milk, fruits, vegetables, sweets, etc.
- Alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased by 1.7%, attributed mainly to increases in the prices of non-served alcoholic drinks and cigarettes.
- Clothing and footwear saw a notable 6.6% price hike, reflecting widespread increases in the cost of apparel and shoes.
- Housing was up by 6%, driven by higher prices for rents, home maintenance and repairs, household services, electricity, and natural gas.
