Athens will open its doors on July 1 to host Europe’s largest youth entrepreneurship competition, Gen-E 2025. For three days, young people aged 15-18 from 40 European countries will present the business ideas they developed through the Junior

Achievement programme-ideas that in some cases are even more mature than those submitted to financial institutions for funding.Gen-E 2025 is not just a competition. It is a celebration of an educational shift: from imitation to initiative, from “what will I become” to “what can I create.”

For example, before the launch of the programme, eight out of 10 students in Didymoteicho, on the eastern edge of the Evros regional unit, said that they wanted to become border guards. After their experience at Junior Achievement, only two out of 10 gave the same answer, the rest had already imagined a different direction and different roles, a different life.

It is the first time that the European Youth Entrepreneurship Competition Gen-E 2025 will be hosted in Athens by Junior Achievement Greece, with the participation of 800 students from 40 countries, placing the country at the forefront of youth entrepreneurship in Europe.
