Europe Pushes Back on Trump Over Diesel: “We Won’t Empty Our Reserves Under Pressure”
Major European countries are coordinating a tougher response to U.S. pressure for a large release of strategic diesel stocks. Britain, France and Germany joined emergency talks aimed at crafting a more “assertive” position toward the Trump administration, which is urging Europe to put large volumes of fuel onto the market while Washington itself weighs possible restrictions on U.S. diesel exports.
