The political storm surrounding “Voice of Logic”, the party of Aphrodite Latidopoulou, deepens after Justice Minister Giorgos Floridis confirmed in Parliament that a criminal case has been filed over alleged forgery of signatures during the party’s formation.
In a written response to an inquiry from independent MP Giorgos Manousos, the minister clarified that the case is already under investigation by the Athens Prosecutor’s Office, and has been linked to a previous case opened in May 2025.
According to Mr. Floridis, a preliminary judicial inquiry is being conducted by the Athens Court of First Instance, and since July 2025, the file has been under the review of a public prosecutor.
Aphrodite Latidopoulou has repeatedly denied all accusations, claiming that the case is part of a “political conspiracy” orchestrated by former collaborator Konstantinos Bogdanos and Greek Solution leader Kyriakos Velopoulos, whom she identifies as direct political competitors on the far-right spectrum.
The case stems from complaints that signatures on the party’s founding declaration may have been forged — a document which, under Law 3023/2002, must be signed by at least 200 citizens eligible to vote and filed with the Supreme Court Prosecutor before a political party can operate legally.
Verification of signature authenticity is triggered only after a formal complaint, and the process is then forwarded to the competent prosecutor in accordance with the Greek Code of Criminal Procedure. Copies of the founding documents are also sent to the Ministry of Interior, which oversees political party registration and elections.
Political analysts note that the case exposes serious rifts within Greece’s far-right scene, where Latidopoulou, Bogdanos, and Velopoulos are already locked in a fierce struggle for influence over nationalist voters.
Regardless of how the judicial process unfolds, the controversy has intensified competition and fragmentation within this segment of the political spectrum — potentially reshaping alliances and voter dynamics ahead of the next European elections.
