2024 road tax bills posted online for car owners

The road tax for 2024 were posted on the myCAR platform of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) on Wednesday, the Authority said, adding there are no significant tax differences from last year.

Three ways of paying the fee were outlined by AADE, after visiting the site https://www.aade.gr/mycar to get the bill printed out:

a. Scan the QR code on their bill at an ATM machine by following the directions on the screen.

b. Go to their online banking site (e-banking) and pay by entering the 23-digit RF code on the bill.

c. Visit a bank branch or the Hellenic Post (ELTA) and pay at the cashier by providing the printed out bill. The deadline for payment is December 31, 2023.

myCAR options

On the above platform of myCAR, car and motorcycle owners can either click under the choice “Road Tax Fees” (Teli Kykloforias Ochimaton) or “Digital Inactivity/Circulation” (Psifiaki Akinissia/Kykloforia).

Under the Road Tax Fees, they can get information about their cars, the payment codes for road tax or the codes in Excel formal if they own more than one vehicle, receive a certificate of ownership if they need to transfer, export, or reclassify their car.

Under the Digital Inactivity/Circulation, they can temporarily freeze the use of their passenger cars and private motorcycles; lift the freeze; retrieve older related applications.
