Her rendition of “Asteromata” marked a strong start for the Greek delegation, earning praise for its emotional depth and innovative staging.
Directed by Creative Director Fokas Evangelinos, the performance focuses on the theme of separation, a stark contrast to the version presented at Greece’s National Final. Klavdia begins on a pier, moving toward a rock in a symbolic journey toward light, accompanied by dynamic set movements and a second performer to emphasize the song’s narrative.
Klavdia’s striking outfit, a long black dress with shimmering blue hues evoking a starry night, was designed by fashion duo Deux Hommes. The outfit blends Greek tradition with modern flair. The rehearsal was also impressed with its visuals, including LED walls displaying a burning tree, expertly framed camera work, and atmospheric lighting.
According to a Reddit post by the official Eurovision organizers, Klavdia’s vocal performance stood out, conveying the essence of “Asteromata” to audiences regardless of language. The Greek delegation is set to refine their act during a second technical rehearsal on Thursday, May 8, before their Second Semi-Final performance.
