Toll-free passage on Greece ‘s highways due to June 25 elections

Toll-free highways for passenger cars and two-wheelers due to the elections in Greece scheduled on June 25, 2023.

According to a decision of the Infrastructure and Transport Minitry the toll-free passage is:

• For voters from 00:00 on Saturday 24 June 2023 (midnight Friday to Saturday) until 08:00 on the morning of Monday 26 June 2023.
• For judicial representatives, free passes are valid from 10:00 am on Thursday 22 June 2023 until 12:00 pm on Monday 26 June 2023. Their passage without the imposition of tolls will be made on presentation of the Judicial Placement Document Representative, as well as their Police Identity Card.

Exempted from the free passage are buses and trucks.

Meanwhile, HELLASTRON announced on behalf of its members, that on the Attiki Odos, the Olympia Odos, the Nea Odos and the Central Hellas Odos, the Moreas Motorway, the Egnatia Odos, the Aegean Motorway and the Rio-Antirio Bridge, the passage of vehicles of categories 1 and 2 (passenger cars and two-wheelers) from the toll stations will be free of charge.

It is not clear, whether the toll-free passage is only for Greeks also for tourists traveling trough the country amid the tourist season.
